Giraffes are mammals and are the tallest animals on earth.

Appearance

A giraffe’s coat is yellow covered in little brown hexagons. They have a long neck.

Reproduction

Female giraffes give birth standing up. When the male giraffe is 7 years old it is ready to mate.

Diet

Giraffes eat leaves and hay. Giraffes only drink once every few days.

Habitat

Giraffes live in the  Savannah of Africa and in the woodlands.
