Science fair

We are the crew for the Starship Taiamai. Our mission is to seek out new worlds and new civilisations, not to annihilate, subjugate or assimilate, but to safely and respectfully go where no human has gone before. We will explore interstellar space in the hope of discovering that there are life forms on other planets. Our teams of scientists are in-charge of ensuring that our spacecraft is a safe environment for human beings. In order to ensure this, we need to know that the life support systems on-board our ship provide the 5 basic requirements which a human needs to survive.
In order of importance, these are :
1.air  2.temperature  3.water  4.sleep  5.food
Additionally,we also need to ensure that should our spacecraft become disabled or hazardous, we have hazard identification teams and evacuation procedures in place.
6. hazard identification  7. evacuation
The maintenance of human life in a spacecraft or on an alien planet is complicated. Therefore, our specialist teams will be focused on a range of investigations over time. These investigations include producing, maintaining and recycling vital components of the spacecraft’s artificial environment. They also include trialling and testing any device/material that may at some time be useful to the crew. At this point of time, our specialists are divided into the following teams and areas of investigation.
